Have you heard the recent news?! Greece has announced that they are expecting to open to tourists as of May 14th, 2021. To visit, travelers must have proof of vaccination or be able to show a negative PCR covid-19 test

THIS IS HUGE NEWS! For Greece and for all of us wanderlusters who are itching to get back on the road to Europe and beyond. It is especially great news for my honeymooners and celebration vacations, as Greece is one of my most popular destinations for romantic escapes.

Greek Islands Greece Santorini

A few weeks ago we hosted a Virtual Olive Oil & Balsamic Vinegar tasting event, where we featured amazing travel experiences waiting for guests in lesser visited Greece and Italy and an incredible tasting of the liquid gold.

We had so much fun sharing our favorite experiences in these destinations! We showcased immersive stays in charming Chania in Crete, a gullet sailing adventure to nearby islands, and an authentic farm visit for a pecorino cheese tasting in Pienza. Plus, we tasted some of the most incredible olive oils produced out of Greece and Italy. Dreaming about being able to once again visit these places (two of my absolute favorites) in person was giving me all the feels!

So many Greek islands, so little time

It is no secret that the islands are the number one tourist attraction of Greece. However, the cultural gem of Crete is often overlooked for smaller Greek islands like Mykonos and Santorini. Crete is a wonder of culture, incredible cuisines, diverse landscapes, and breathtaking beauty. You’ll find ancient fishing villages, gorgeous gorges, ultra-luxe accommodations, and a diverse and unique food culture home only to Crete.

Plus, Greece and Italy make a fantastic match for a 10-14 day stay. You can combine a discovery of Crete with a stop in delicious Tuscany before making your way south to the little town of Ravello, on the Amalfi Coast of Italy. Ravello is a small and intimate village, with some of the most jaw-dropping views in the country. From here, you can access all of the culinary wonders of Campania and the crystalline waters of the sea.

Our featured itinerary combining Greece and Italy features one-of-a-kind private experiences, special boutique properties for accommodations (I mean, who wouldn’t like staying in an ancient country estate in the heart of Tuscany?), and culinary treasures.

This sample itinerary is meant to spark your inspiration but can (always) be tailor-made exactly to your interests, tastes, and needs.
