An absolute feast for the senses, the White Truffle Festival in the charming town of Alba is one of the world's most prestigious gastronomic events of the year, and a showcase of Italian excellence. An annual celebration, Alba comes alive with an electric atmosphere during this special time of year when the White Truffle makes its appearance in the hills of Piemonte.
Arriving in Alba during the festival is like stepping into a gastronomic wonderland - the narrow streets are full of colorful market stalls, with enticing aromas and the passion of the world's top truffle enthusiasts and gourmands palpable in the air.
We will witness live truffle auctions - an environment that is equally thrilling, suspenseful and unbelievable what these elusive mushrooms sell for to the world's top restaurants! Our experience will conclude with an in-depth 'sensorial analysis' of the truffle with our expert guides.

WHITE TRuffle FAIR IN ALBA
In case you haven't figured it out yet, Piemonte is an absolute paradise for food enthusiasts! In fact, its capital, Torino, is known as the 'Capital of Taste' for its plethora of traditional products and exquisite wines and foods.
Piemonte is home to 42 Michelin-starred restaurants, making it Italy's most decorated region save for Lombardy, where Milan is found. It's biodiversity has allowed it to produce a rich variety of food products including high quality meats, cheeses, rice/risotto, chocolates, hazelnuts, truffles, and of course, wine. It is also home to some of the first Italian roasting companies, which pioneered the infamous coffee culture Italy is so well-known for.
On this trip, we will be savoring all of the richness Piemonte has to offer with the best wines, cheeses, salami, Vermouth, sweets, coffee, truffle, and traditional meals that can only be tasted in their true authenticity right here. (A Bicerìn might change your life...just saying!)

Are you sick of me mentioning truffle? Well, I promise, even if you don't particularly LOVE truffle - a truffle hunting experience is not one to be missed!
Besides the fact that this is one of the world's most expensive and gourmet foods, Truffle Hunting is an experience all to itself. Our Trifalau (Piemontese for 'Truffle Hunter') are passionate enthusiasts for this skilled and labor-intensive work. And they cannot do their work without the help of their very best friend, a well-trained 'hunting' dog.
On this experience, we will visit a small, family-run winery and farm with stunning views onto vineyards and forest where we will meet our passionate Trifalau and his hunter for a first-class truffle hunting experience. Afterwards, we will be treated to a delicious light lunch with wines and, of course, our truffles!

TRIFALAU FOR A DAY
Ahh, lake life! Is there anything quite like it? Especially when those lakes are nestled against the peaks of the Alps, dotted with charming Italian villages, and offering exquisite Italian cuisine? We think not.
We will end our trip relaxing on the shores of one of Italy's hidden gem lakes with the most pristine, clear blue water - Lake Mergozzo. While there, we will discover two other lakes in the region (very nearby!) - the historic and exquisitely elegant Lago Maggiore, and my personal favorite, Lago d'Orta. Prepare to lose your breath!
