Makayla plays a central role in keeping every trip running smoothly behind the scenes, overseeing the systems, timelines, and details that allow each experience to come together with clarity and consistency. Her work ensures that every piece is organized, aligned, and fully supported from start to finish.
With a background in education and project management, along with her service as a Transportation Officer in the Army Reserves, she brings a high level of structure, adaptability, and follow-through to everything she does. Her ability to manage moving parts and anticipate needs makes her an essential part of how each trip unfolds.
Originally from Wisconsin and currently based in Virginia, Makayla approaches travel with a balance of energy and ease — equally drawn to time spent relaxing by the water and exploring new destinations more actively. Outside of work, she’s always on the move, whether it’s staying active, exploring somewhere new, or finding her next favorite coffee spot.
Each member of the Olive & Atlas team plays a distinct role in shaping the client experience, supporting the journey from start to finish, and ensuring every detail comes together as it should.

Ashley supports the development of each itinerary through research and detail work, with a strong understanding of what makes a travel experience feel both meaningful and well balanced. She enjoys diving into the nuances of each destination, helping shape trips that reflect both the pace and priorities of how clients want to travel.
Having spent several years living in Hungary, Ashley developed a deeper connection to European travel and an appreciation for experiencing destinations beyond the surface.
She is especially drawn to destinations that offer a sense of place and a slower pace — from the Dolomites to the Austrian countryside — where time outdoors, local culture, and simple moments take center stage. Her travel style blends adventure and ease, with a focus on creating space to explore while still making the most of each destination. She’s especially drawn to the mountains, where she finds the perfect balance of movement, stillness, and connection to place.

With a background in event production and international coordination, Liz brings a strong sense of structure, timing, and follow-through to every itinerary she supports.
Originally from the UK and now based in Wisconsin, Liz has spent much of her life traveling across Europe and beyond — from family road trips through France and Switzerland to more far-reaching adventures in South Africa, Australia, and Southeast Asia. Her travel style is relaxed and immersive, with an appreciation for beautiful settings, time outdoors, and a well-placed touch of luxury.
She is especially drawn to destinations that balance scenery and lifestyle — whether it’s a summer in the French Alps or a slow day on a quiet Greek island — and brings that same perspective to the experiences she helps bring together.
She’s happiest in places that invite you to slow down — ideally somewhere beautiful, with time outdoors and a great meal at the end of the day.

Carrie brings a relationship-driven approach to travel design, working closely with clients to shape experiences that reflect how they want to see the world. Based in New York, she supports a range of travel styles — from meaningful family trips to milestone celebrations — with a focus on balance, flexibility, and creating space for discovery along the way.
Her love for travel is rooted in the experiences she has shared with her own family, from exploring the streets of Florence to slow, memorable moments along the coast of Santorini. She believes the best trips are the ones that feel both well planned and open to the unexpected.
Known for her organization and eye for detail, Carrie enjoys the process as much as the outcome — from researching destinations to building itineraries that allow clients to feel fully present in their travels. She’s also a firm believer in leaving room to wander, often finding that the most memorable moments happen when there’s space to simply explore.
